Dumpster rental for yard cleanup and landscaping
Storm cleanup, overgrown lots, hedge removal, a backyard redo: yard debris is bulky and awkward, and most curbside pickup limits it to a few bundles a week. A dumpster takes it all in one go.
Sizes that fit yard cleanup jobs
Most yard cleanup jobs land between a 10 and a 30-yard. Our usual starting point is the 20-yard.

Which size?
Branches and brush are light but take a lot of space. A 15 or 20-yard handles most yard cleanups. Clearing an overgrown lot or several trees can call for a 30.
Sod, soil and rock are heavy debris and need a 10-yard filled to the line.
Rules vary for yard waste
In some states and counties yard waste cannot go to the landfill and has to be composted, so it must go in its own load with no trash mixed in. Where that applies, a clean green-waste load is often cheaper.
Large stumps are not accepted by every hauler. Tell us if you have them.
Loading tips
Cut long branches into lengths that lie flat. Interlocking branches leave big air gaps, which is the main reason yard loads fill up early.
Debris type: yard waste
Branches, brush, shrubs, leaves, small stumps, old landscape timbers.
Some areas require yard waste to go in its own load because it is composted, not landfilled.
Some items can't go in any dumpster: paint, tires, batteries, appliances with refrigerant and hazardous chemicals among them. See the full list.
Yard cleanup questions
Can I put tree stumps in a dumpster?
Small stumps are accepted by many haulers. Large root balls are heavy and some disposal sites refuse them. Tell us the size and we will check locally.
Can soil and sod go in with the branches?
Usually not in the same box. Soil and sod are heavy debris and go in a 10-yard on their own.
Will the truck damage my lawn?
Roll-off trucks are heavy, so we place boxes on driveways or hard surfaces where possible. Placing on grass is at your risk, especially when the ground is wet.
